Graduates Synergy is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-political, formal and self-governed organisation for social and economic development.

The society was formed in 2001 by a group of graduates of different higher learning institutions of Tanzania. The society is registered in Tanzania as a not for profit organisation under the Societies Ordinance in November 17th 2001 with registration Number. SO No 11202.

We aim at bringing sustainable development in our country through a combined effort of graduates and the local communities in fighting against poverty.

Problem Statement

In Tanzania extreme poverty is becoming widespread despite enormous potencies that we have for getting rid of it. The majority of the people in Tanzania are poor, living below the poverty line (i.e. below 1$ per day)

According to Tanzania Private Sector Reform Program more than 50% of the people live below 1$ per day while 75%of the total population live below $2 per day.

In any country if illiteracy, unemployment and diseases are wide spread the war against poverty will end up in vain.

Graduates Synergy exists to address the problems of illiteracy, unemployment and HIV/AIDS, which are among the factors putting Tanzania under absolute poverty.
